The house is a Georgian Townhouse built circa 1726. This means, there are no bedrooms on the ground level. The staircase has landings half up on each level. There are approximately 9 steps to each landing. At the top of the house going to the 3rd level, the staircase is narrow and spirals upwards.

YES, breakfast is included in the price – we offer a FULL ENGLISH breakfast, with a cereal and fruit buffet as well. We do offer options for vegetarians, vegans and food intolerances. Just a reminder that the self catering apartment does not include breakfast, however it is optional for an additional £7.50 per person.

Do we have vegetarian, gluten, dairy free options?

YES, but we need to be advised about any special food requirements in advance.

What parking options are there?

Please note, we do not have PRIVATE parking, however, we do have limited PARKING PERMITS, which we can offer to guests at a rate of £10 per day to park on the street. Many pay & display parking lots are available within close proximity to our Guest House. However click here to find out further information.

Is there a lounge area?

No, however, in the larger premier bedrooms there are comfy chairs.

Can we use kitchen facilities?

Generally this is not an option, however, if you require medication or something stored in the breakfast kitchen refrigerator, this is not a problem. If you wish to get a “ready meal” in the evening and require this to be heated and eaten in the dining room, this is no problem, we are more than happy to help make your stay as easy as possible.

Bed options - what type of bed is in the room?

Some of our beds can be SPLIT into twins (2 x singles) or joined into doubles.

What is the difference between a PREMIER ROOM and a STANDARD ROOM?

A STANDARD ROOM – all these rooms are located on the TOP (THIRD FLOOR).  These are our smaller rooms, with no seating area. A PREMIER ROOM – these rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors.  These rooms have comfy chairs and are the LARGER rooms in the house.

The en-suite facilities are they baths or shower rooms?

We only offer SHOWERS as en-suite facilities.

Is it noisy?

Being in the city centre of Bath has its advantages and disadvantages.  Noise is not a problem often at all, but the rooms facing the front of the house have double glazed windows to try and minimise this problem when it does occur.  Unfortunately it is something out of our control.

How far we are from the train station, and what is the quickest way to get here?

The train and bus stations are a maximum of 5 minute walk from The Henry, take a look at the map for specific details.

Do we supply cots and high chairs?

Yes, we have cots and high chairs for babies – please advise us of your requirements when booking.

Where can we eat?

Bath offers a multitude of gastronomic delights – we will give you a map with further details on arrival and a description of what is on offer depending on what your stay in bath is about.
